" all information for Guðríður her life and marriages are from two sagas, Saga of Eirik the Red and The Saga of the Greenlanders, each vary as to what happened, I have tried to follow as best as possible the family lives. ( some of the information used is from the book The Far Traveler by Nacy Marie Brown, which I have read) Fór til Grænlands og þaðan til Vínlands, síðar húsfreyja í Reyninesi í Skagafirði. Móðir fyrsta evrópska barnsins sem fæddist í Ameríku. Skv. Grænlendingasögu fór Guðríður utan og gekk suður, mögulega til Rómar. Maki I skv. Grænlendinga sögu: Þórir austmaður.
